Woman Accidentally Films Moment ‘Disgusting Predator Slips Something Into Her Drink’

These days you need to be pretty careful about your drink when you’re out at a pub, club or festival as people can interfere with it and put something sinister inside.

A woman has captured what appears to be that exact thing while she was with her mates in Brazil.

The clip has gone viral since it was posted to Twitter with the caption: “I’ll never understand how a dude can be so wack with no game and feel the need to be such a disgusting predator. Ladies watch your drinks!”

It shows a blonde-haired woman called Kristal Santos enjoying herself at a festival when all of a sudden, a bloke comes up next to her and seemingly chucks something in her drink.

The 15-second video has been viewed more than 10 million times, with many people expressing their shock at how brazen the guy is.

Some people are pointing out that he doesn’t actually put anything in her drink.

But the woman at the centre of the video has since posted on Instagram: “I will explain here to those who are still worried… I did not drink anything from that glass because it was at the end of the party and the glass was already empty, or nothing happened to me.

“Yes, I’m glad the video is echoing in a positive way, as an alert for everyone to take more care of their glasses, including me.

“I bet that just like my mother, everyone’s mother has warned a thousand times to be careful with the glasses, I thought she exaggerated! But it is not exaggeration, because we always think that this will never happen, but the truth is that it can happen anytime, anywhere.”

While he might not have put anything sinister in her drink or anything at all for that matter, it still highlights how easy it is for someone to mess with a drink when you’re not looking.

Hundreds of people get spiked in the UK every year and if the perpetrator is caught, they can face up to 10 years behind bars. NHS Choices adds: “If an assault, rape or robbery has also taken place, the sentence will be even higher.”

Some of the common drugs used to ‘roofie’ people are GHB, tranquillisers or benzodiazepines like Valium, and ketamine. Effects usually start to hit you after about 15 to 30 minutes, so if you have a sudden onset of symptoms, grab a mate and get them to help you get home.
