Man Recovering From Surgery Wakes Up To A Stranger Cat Cuddling Him

Cats work in mysterious ways, and sometimes cats just have a better sense of things than we do as humans.

These ideas rang very true for a man who was attempting to get some rest after coming home from a recent trip to the hospital.

The man, Andrew Falloon, an actual New Zealand government official, shared a photo of his dad who had recently had surgery, cuddled with a cat on his couch.

The adorable photo of Falloon’s old man holding paws with a cat only had one problem, his father isn’t a cat owner.

Falloon tweeted that the mysterious cat must’ve creeped into his father’s door after noticing that it wasn’t closed all the way.

According to Bored Panda, the photo was snapped by Andrew Falloon’s mother while his father was asleep. Falloon told the publisher:

“She snapped the photo before waking Dad up. He was pretty surprised to find the cat curled up!”

Falloon said that his mom showed him the photo when he visited their house later, where he shared it with the internet and it quickly went viral.

The photo currently has over 75,000 retweets and 400,000 likes.

The awesome people of Twitter have been reacting to the photo since its posting.

Twitterers made notice of the two holding each other’s paws.

Other cat owners could definitely relate.

It seems that this stranger cat laid down the law.

According to the interview with Bored Panda, the cat has been identified as a neighborhood cat named Ziggy.

Andrew says that his dad isn’t “much of a cat person” but is content with Ziggy coming around to visit “every so often.”

Oh, Andrew’s dad is also “on the mend after his operation,” and is trying to get adjust to his viral fame.
