As we’ve all noticed there are certain trends that never die – the old faithful staples. Some trends do tend to disappear and reappear many years later and with a few marketing efforts are celebrated as “retro”. There are some trends that should never make a return as there are still those suffering from P.T.S.D from its last circuit.

While there were still some amazing fashion statements made during the ’70s but the men’s department seemed to have lapsed somewhat.
70’s fashion was all about the physique. With an array of body-hugging clothes from skin-tight shirts and vests to leotards made from spandex – groovy.
In this collection, you’ll find glossy and leather coats with fur collars to add some swagger, sometimes paired with platform boots – don’t forget the cane (not quite sure why they wanted to look prematurely aged.
Dubious facial hair, knitted shirts and sweaters with matching hats. Knee-high socks, shorts and a golf shirt is a style that brings me shivers… not to mention the plaid and striped patterns which were usually paired with a massive colour clash.
Did we mention leisure suits? Well, you’ll find a few of them here. in bright colours, matching colours or not… but nothing can hide the fact that they look like pyjama suits with a bit of shape and fancy shoes.
These fashion statements simply cannot be allowed to resurface. Check out these disasters from the decade so you can fully understand. Be advised, it’s definitely not rad.
